The Huntington Library, Art Collection, and Botanical Gardens is a private, nonprofit institution. The Huntington was founded in 1919 by Henry E. Huntington. In addition, The Norton Simon Museum is known worldwide as one of the most remarkable private art collections ever assembled.

Cultural Attractions: The Armory Center for the Arts is located in Old Pasadena and within walking distance of gorgeous Pasadena City Hall, making this an easy add-on to an itinerary. Williamson Gallery displays cutting-edge works at a unique Art Center College of Design gallery above the Rose Bowl Stadium.

The Rose Parade has been a tradition for 129 years, where residents and visitors gather in Pasadena on New Year’s Day (unless it falls on a Sunday) to watch impressive and creative floats covered in flowers, top marching bands that can exceed 300 members, and equestrian units like the Anheuser Busch Budweiser Clydesdales.
